Teri & Ron

Ron Cowart is the founder, CEO and "chief bottle-washer" at the helm of Pics2Plaques.com. However, in all fairness and honesty, he wouldn't be anywhere near, where he is now, without his better-half, Teri.

Teri McLin Cowart is a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, having graduated from Belaire High School in 1979, she went to Southeastern in Hammond, where she graduated with a BS in Communications. Teri has won several beauty pageants over the years, with the most notable being Miss Baton Rouge (1987) and back-to-back Mrs. Louisiana titles (Mrs. Louisiana USA -1992 and Mrs. Louisiana America - 1993).

Teri is a real estate agent representing Exit Realty Group in Baton Rouge.

Ron served a total of 33-years as a full-time law enforcement officer. Two years (1978 - 1980) were served with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.

Then, in 1980, Ron was hired by the Louisiana State Police and the Baton Rouge Police Department, on the same day. LSP called first and Ron accepted, even though he had only made high enough on his entrance exam, to win placement at his second choice of Troops (Troop L in Covington), upon graduating the Academy. Having just purchased a new home in Baton Rouge, it would mean having to commute a significant distance to work each day, however, he wanted the job as he had a family to support.

On the same day, the Baton Rouge Police Department called and after a brief consultation, Ron contacted LSP to decline that position and accepted the one from BRPD. Thirty-one years later, Ron retired in 2011, at the rank of Captain.

Ron donates his time, services and server space, in maintaining four, non-profit websites for various organizations, all police related.

In creating this business, Ron went with his desire to work with his hands in creating products that would serve to display cherished memories.
